Field Trip Club Frequently Asked Questions
What types of field trips do you take?
We have a wide variety of activities, ranging from movies and exciting trips to the zoo to recreational time at the park and even study time at the library (during the school year). We’re always on the look-out for new and fun activities for your children, so there will never be a shortage of fun things to do!
Where do I drop off/pick up my child?
During the summer, drop-off and pick-up will take place in a few pre-established locations. We typically have an outdoor pick-up area for good days and an indoor pick-up area for rainy or hot days. We're conveniently located near I-35, I-435, and K-10.
During the school year, we typically work near Mahaffie Elementary School in a few pre-established locations.
What if I need to pick up my child early?
We send out weekly schedules in the summer, so you’ll know where your child is. Also, we strive to be as flexible as we can, so let us know ahead of time and we'll try to make convenient arrangements.
How are children transported?
Only adult staff over the age of 25 drive campers in our 15-passenger van. Adult staff over the age of 18 may use their personal vehicles as well.
Do I send money every day for field trips?
No. There is a summer activity fee per camper. (Please call for current amount.) But when that's gone, we use a portion of the weekly fee for field trips. Campers are rarely allowed to bring money.
